Victor Georgio, founder of S+S Propeller Co., Inc. (Circa 1950)
Since 1946, S+S Propeller has provided customized propulsion solutions for marine vessels. With 15,000 square foot facilities in New York City and Pompano Beach, Florida, we offer expert services including blueprinting, dynamic balancing, computerized analysis, propeller recommendations, reconditioning, modification, and sea trials. Our machine shops are equipped to meet all customer needs, including the fabrication of a complete line of marine hardware from the transmission down. This includes custom struts, shafts, rudders, and stern tube assemblies for both new installations and retrofit applications. We are ABS, Lloyd’s, and DNV certified in machining and welding.
At S+S, we maintain a comprehensive inventory of marine hardware and shafting to ensure our customers have quick and convenient access to the parts they need. We also provide complimentary computerized propeller analysis. Our state-of-the-art technology ensures precision, including a computerized digital measuring system that we have utilized since 1986 to check propellers for manufacturing consistency. Our craftsmen can also apply this technology to blueprint your existing propellers and measure the exact pitch over the full cord length at any radius line desired.

In many applications, achieving proper balance is just as crucial as ensuring accurate pitch and tracking. To meet this standard, S+S Propeller employs a state-of-the-art Computerized Soft Bearing High-Speed Balancer. This advanced system enables us to dynamically balance propellers of up to 2,000 pounds, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Additionally, our vertical boring mills are capable of machining propellers up to 60 inches in diameter.
